GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
2nd shift position, Monday - Friday, 1pm to 9:30pm
Work in a Class 10 (ISO-4) Cleanroom environment performing standard/routine pre and post production processing steps within an Epitaxy module of a semiconductor fabrication laboratory. On the job training for tasks will be provided by module engineers on a daily basis until fully trained. Daily tasks include hands-on, single wafer processing using highly sophisticated ultra high vacuum molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) equipment.
Ensure substrates are inspected and meet specifications and metallized according to documented processes.
Operate MBE and occasionally MOCVD tools to produce epi wafers that meet specifications set by the process engineering teams.
Performing equipment verifications/calibrations following internal SOP’s and manufacturers protocols
Characterize epi wafers including sheet resistance, Hall, optical inspection, thickness measurement, X-ray diffraction, AFM.
Work around cryo pumps, ion pumps, mechanical pumps and turbo pumps.
Follow documented processes and procedures to accomplish epi wafer growth and characterization.
Contribute to tool maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
Enter and upload files into databases and work with Manufacturing Executions System (MES) to ensure workflows adhere to the manufacturing plans.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma required. Associates degree preferred. Work experience in a related field such as HVAC, automotive is a plus.
5-10 years of work experience desired.
Ability to work in a safe manner and follow documented procedures.
On the job training will be provided for the right candidate.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to work within a cleanroom environment wearing personal protective equipment to include lab coveralls, chemical apron, hood, facemask, hairnets, safety gloves and goggles
Walking and/or standing may be required for 70-80% of the day
Must possess motor skills appropriate to the task
Must be able to lift/push/pull 25-30 pounds consistently
Good communication skills and ability to interact with cross functional team s is desired.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $41.00 per hour + bonus + benefits.
