Essential Duties:
Provide accounting guidance in areas such as auditing, account reconciliation and journal entries, inventory management, preparation of financial statements, tax returns (property, sales, income), and maintaining effective internal controls.
Responsible for financial analysis and reports for programs and internal projects.
Identifying risks that affect cost and/or schedule and providing proactive analysis of all financial aspects of assigned projects.
Required Skills:
7+ years’ accounting experience conducting business with large financial and accounting systems.
3+ years of managerial experience.
Accounting experience in a government-contracting environment and working knowledge of the compliance requirements in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
Familiarity with the various forms or revenue recognition, financial statement review, and long-term project accounting.
Desired Skills:
CPA/CMA
Excellent computer skills, particularly in the use of MS Excel, and financial systems and tools such as Deltek Costpoint and TM1.
Ability to implement and apply accounting principles as it relates to GAAP.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) to support the preparation and presentation of written briefs and summaries for executive communication.
Required Education:
Bachelors and/or Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related discipline.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $101,000 - $168,000 + bonus + benefits.
