We are seeking an Associate II, ASQC to responsible for conducting analytical testing supporting routine and non-routine testing as a member of the AS/QC team. Reporting to the Assoc. Director, ASQC, this position contributes to QC routine operation, including Analyzing samples for routine and non-routine testing, training in new assays, and maintaining incoming QC lab material. You will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact as you partner with Analytical Sciences, Product Engineering and Manufacturing in order to support routine testing. This role will be based in Emeryville, California.
How you’ll contribute:
- Responsible for conducting analytical testing per approved SOPs, analyzing and reporting data, data review and maintaining lab equipment for products that may include release, in-process and raw material samples.
- Perform assays for AS/QC laboratory:
- Routine and non-routine in-process, final product protein chemistry testing for release of product
- Stability testing
- Product/method development testing
- Perform lab investigation, and reports aberrant results to management
- Maintain lab cleanliness and orderliness and comply with site Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) requirements
- Training in new assays within the required time
What you bring:
- Bacherlor’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunoloy or a related discipline required
- At least two years experience in a regulated GMP testing laboratory
- Demonstrated assay testing skills and knowledge (in descending order of priority)
- Experience with Activity, Potency methods such as microplate base assay, ELISA; knowledge of cell assays
- Experience with Protein chemistry methods such as SoloVPE, UV-Spectrophotometry, SDS-PAGE
- Effective oral and written communication, prioritization and organizational skills
- Personality attributes:
- Able to quickly learn and adapt to new software tools (Google Suite, Slack)
- Highly collaborative, solutions oriented, and thrives in a fast-moving startup environment
California Pay Transparency Disclosure:
This position is classified as an exempt position under the Federal Labor Standards Act. The anticipated base salary range for this position will be $82,000 - $95,000 . You will also be eligible to receive equity, bonuses, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the position offered. Please note that individual total compensation for this position will be determined at the Company’s sole discretion and may vary based on location, skill level, years and depth of relevant experience, and education.
