GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This role will analyze existing systems for improvement, recommend new system processes, and keep detailed reports of all structural and process changes. You will be responsible for using your knowledge of software programs and business strategies to help HRL maximize productivity and communication.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
•Support critical business applications and databases on a day-to-day basis
•Work with Information Systems leadership on database/application maintenance plans and best practices
•Analyze existing procedures and make recommendations for improvements
•Maintain technical documentation by collecting, analyzing, and reporting
•Facilitate, enhance, and ensure seamless operation of business applications
•Assist in resolving back-end connectivity issues
•Ability to work in a collaborative and team environment
•Write SQL queries in support of administrative support functions, as needed
•Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner and work as part of a team on long-term projects
•Ability to pivot as necessary with changing business requirements
•Stay up to date on modern trends as they pertain to software development, database maintenance, and application design
•Communicate effectively with team members and customers with varying levels of technical knowledge
•Develop solutions to various complex problems and plan, schedule, and prioritize tasks
QUALIFICATIONS
•Experience using IBM Cognos 10 or above to design, develop, test, and implement advanced Deltek Costpoint reports
•Familiarity with the Deltek Costpoint data structure, data movement, and Cognos data models with an emphasis on the Accounting, Projects, and Materials domains
•Experience interpreting Deltek supplied framework models and ability to create and interpret detailed ERDs
•Possess an understanding of general business practices associated with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and Labor/Payroll functions in a government contracting capacity, and an understanding of their intersections
•Experience leading the development of business and functional requirements for complex business reports and modification of existing reports
•Experience providing Costpoint and Cognos guidance to other Business Systems Analysts
•Experience supporting MRP, MES, PLM, and their relationship with the Costpoint Materials domain
•Basic experience in administering IBM Cognos environments at the system level, including using IBM Cognos Configuration, IBM Cognos Framework Manager, and IBM Cognos Map Manager
•Experience in managing Costpoint Enterprise Reporting security groups and associated Cognos security models
•Experience in requirements gathering and documentation, including origin and report flow, format, frequency, distribution, and purpose as related to Costpoint Enterprise Reporting and IBM Cognos
EDUCATION
•High School diploma/GED with 8+ years of related experience OR
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 5+ years of related experience
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, and in some cases with little to no advance notice.
This position requires that the applicant selected be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $86,000 - $140,000 + bonus + benefits.
