The Toyota Woven City is a fully connected ecosystem powered by hydrogen fuel cells to be built at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan. It is envisioned as ‘A Living Laboratory’ and ‘Ever Evolving City’, incorporating various types of cutting edge technologies. At the same time, it is also ‘Human-Centered,’ that is, it is expected to keep people safe and comfortable. Our mission is to guide every single business and service of Woven City to most effectively and passionately move forward towards each operation phase of the ever-evolving city.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a software architect with a passion about developing and operating the city scale CO2 free electric power aggregation system used in daily life in Woven City. With hands-on experiences and deep knowledge about software development, you are expected to define functional and non-functional requirements and architecture for a flexible and scalable cloud-based softwares. You are also expected to work closely with specialists from various disciplines. This position is reported to the manager as a cloud infra DevOps team leader.

    • Responsible for the AWS cloud infra DevOps engineer on which the energy system application software suite runs.
    • Responsible for the design, development and operation of databases that handle big data on cloud services.
    • Maintain a reasonable balance between ensuring service reliability and rapid launch.
    • Deploy and monitor software on cloud services, manage incidents, and improve pipelines for software delivery.
    • Resolve issues with the application development team and project management team to execute the plan.

    • Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
    • Experience in developing and operating 100+ million-yen scale systems.
    • Experience in developing scalable systems with knowledge of cloud infrastructure middleware and networking.
    • Experience with security and privacy assessments and incident response.
    • Proficiency in Japanese reading and writing skill and a passion to develop English skill.

    • データサイエンス、コンピュータサイエンス、機械工学、電気工学もしくはそれらに関連する技術領域や経験を持つ学士
    • 1億円以上の規模のシステム開発と運用の経験
    • クラウドインフラのミドルウェアやネットワークの知識を持ってスケーラビリティのあるシステム開発の経験
    • セキュリティやプライバシーのアセスメントやインシデント対応の経験
    • 日本語での読み書きのスキルがあり、英語のスキル向上への意欲がある
    • Experience in Scrum Master (Certified Scrum master)
    • Master’s degree in data science, computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
    • Knowledge of standards, laws and regulations about energy system and communication systems
    • Experience in developing cloud-based software for energy system operations
    • Experience and knowledge in the quality control process such as ISO 9000 family.
