We are currently seeking a highly skilled Buyer with procurement/subcontract experience, in order to support our fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Salary Range:  Base + Bonus + Benefits + Equity (if applicable)
Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location. Information on the benefits offered is here. All offers are contingent on a cleared background check.

Location guidelines-
Onsite = 5 days/week
Hybrid = Several days in the office
Remote = Remote but able to come to the office as requested for business needs

    • Responsible for planning, coordinating, executing and managing purchase orders with suppliers
    • Responsible for negotiating all aspects of a PO, pricing and delivery terms, purchase and schedule orders
    • Support procurements of a wide variety of requirements, ranging from raw material, services, fixed assets, and tooling. Opportunities to support NPI, production, repairs and sustainment.
    • Track deliveries as required for factory operations. Perform tactical purchasing duties (expedites, defers, past due follow ups, etc.)
    • Works closely with management to resolve component shortages.
    • Responsible for communicating material status to production and management.
    • Proactively resolve problems and discrepancies with pricing, delivery, and quality of purchased commodities.
    • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with internal customers and external suppliers and vendors.
    • Maintain and comply with ISO9001, ISO 13485 and customer requirements.
    • This position reports directly to the Procurement Manager
    • There may be opportunities for some leadership roles.
    • Examples may include:
    • This person may be asked to be a lead of a commodity
    • Being a lead of a small commodity team.
    • Commodity strategy and new vendor selection
    • Delegate for Procurement Manager
    • Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management
    • Purchasing experience
    • Analytical and problem-solving experience
    • High attention to detail
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritization
    • Sound interpersonal skills and ability to be a team player
    • Excellent Computer skills - Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Experience with ERP systems (Deltek/Costpoint a plus)
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
    • Bachelors Degree
    • 5+ years of relevant purchasing experience
    • Aerospace and Defense experience
    • Experience with FAR and DFARs
    • Experience in medical, production or pharmaceutical field
    • Masters degree
