We are seeking an engineering intern this summer to join our medium segment supply chain engineering team and provide support on continuous improvement of systems. Your project will be to improve some portion of throughput for the V-BAT production line. You will work with your intern manager to identify an area of the production process, develop a plan to improve this area, implement this plan, and report out the data that shows the improvement that has been realized. This is an exciting and innovative opportunity to gain experience and insight into an emerging technology space!

Total compensation: Salary within range listed above + Bonus + Benefits + Equity (if applicable)
Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location. Information on the benefits offered is here. All offers are contingent on a cleared background check.

Location guidelines-
Onsite = 5 days/week
Hybrid = Several days in the office
Remote = Remote but able to come to the office as requested for business needs

    • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, lead time reduction and yield improvements on both production floor and transactional business.
    • Utilize Lean Manufacturing tools to identify and develop solutions that drive operational improvement.
    • Collect and analyze data on plant processes, procedure, and performance using evaluation tools and make recommendations for improvement to the leadership and key stakeholders.
    • Work to continuously improve processes both on the production floor and transactional business process flow by collaborating with multiple functions.
    • Run and manage 2-3 projects concurrently with guidance from a Senior Engineer.
    • Must be a rising Senior, rising Master’s or PhD graduate, preparing to graduate Spring 2024
    • Students interested in working within the manufacturing or industrial engineering industry
    • Interest or experience within aerospace or mechanical engineering is a plus
    • I.e. Any student studying within (1) manufacturing engineering (2) industrial engineering (3) aerospace engineering or (4) mechanical engineering should apply!
