Untether AI is building the world’s highest performance pure-digital AI inference accelerator, with an initial market in data centres. We are looking for an architect to work in the CTO office, along with other architects. This role requires the candidate to have in-depth server and accelerator hardware knowledge with a focus on AI applications. Our Data Centre Architect should be able to understand the key AI, cloud and data centre technology trends, recommend the right product/solution to enterprise and cloud customers and should have the technical credibility to influence C-level executives on our solutions. The CTO office is based in Toronto, Canada, but remote working is acceptable.

    • Working with tier 1 enterprise and cloud customers to uncover business opportunities in the data centre, edge, or cloud, and establishing yourself as the trusted technology advisor on customer challenges and solutions.
    • Architect Untether AI’s scale-out solutions - including card, server, and rack topologies and interconnect.
    • Partnering with business and sales teams in both internal and external meetings as a technical advisor and providing accountable recommendations to executives on technology solutions that lead to favourable RFE and RFQ outcomes.
    • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, leading and influencing internal stakeholders to achieve results by meeting customer's expectations both in early engagements  and over the life of the interaction.
    • Providing strategic and planning guidance for emerging hardware and software technologies to both internal and external clients.
    • Collaborating closely with partners to understand and influence their product plans and road maps, and ensuring synergy with internal roadmaps and products plans.
    • 10+ years of experience in the server hardware industry and 3 years in AI. Shorter experience will be considered for exceptional candidates.
    • Preferred previous roles/experiences include Enterprise Solutions Architect (hardware knowledge required), ODM/OEM Product Manager, Field Applications or Applications Engineer, Hardware Engineer, Server or AI Hardware Product Manager.
    • Superb soft skills: ability to work efficiently and effectively in group environment, and influence cross-functional team without having direct managerial authority.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to resolve complex issues with high level of ambiguity.
    • Experience working with large cloud and enterprise customers with proven record of successful achievements.
    • Great communicator, positive attitude and upbeat personality are assets.
