As a Developer Experience Software Engineering Manager, you will build out a team and technically lead the roadmap of our internal workflows, builds, and tools. You will work closely with talented engineers to define future generations of Shield AI products by executing new programs and helping to solve the hard problems. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a variety of different engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, software and AI engineering, to establish workflows to help our business grow. You will lead cross-functional product development activities to bring together our small and medium UAS systems.






Salary Range:  Base + Bonus + Benefits + Equity (if applicable)

Location guidelines-
Onsite = 5 days/week
Hybrid = Several days in the office
Remote = Remote but able to come to the office as requested for business needs

    • Drive the application of software systems to both internal and third-party consumers of Hivemind Edge
    • Architect appropriate tools for users that build software into Hivemind Edge
    • Help define, scope, and manage technical requirements to meet business needs
    • Lead integration development between hardware, embedded, software & AI teams that contribute to easier and more efficient development
    • Manage product architecture, ICD and other system level design documentation
    • Be a customer facing engineering lead to support government funded development programs that use Hivemind Edge
    • Contribute to government contract proposal writing
    • Aligning technical approaches with long-term roadmaps across Shield AI
    • Aligning interfaces in the AI Foundations team with other teams
    • Building out systems architectures and infrastructure as needed to support development efforts
    • Other duties as assigned
    • 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, or equivalent engineering roles
    • 3+ years of people leadership experience
    • B.S. or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • You are organized and methodical
    • You have a demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others
