Essential Duties:
We are seeking a candidate to conduct standardized electrical measurements of novel, quantum-effect semiconductor devices at cryogenic temperatures. The individual will also support and maintain cryogenic measurement systems. The tests will be performed on custom, low-noise electrical measurement systems using defined test sequences. The individual should understand circuits, including transistors and amplifiers, and troubleshooting, including the use of multimeters. The candidate should be flexible and enjoy a dynamic work environment with changing goals as part of cutting edge research. The candidate should prioritize safety, the collection of trustworthy test data, and communication within a team.
Required Skills:
3+ years of experience working in a laboratory of manufacturing environment
Use of automated semiconductor test equipment
Electrical measurements, including handheld multimeters, and knowledge of circuits, transistors, and amplifiers
Familiarity with cryogenics and safety
Strong electrical troubleshooting and organizational skills
Use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), database entry and correction
Preferred Education:
EET, Associate, or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to climb ladders to use elevated test equipment. Must be able to work safely in a laboratory environment.
Special Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship. Must have or be willing to apply for a security clearance.
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $41.00 per hour + bonus + benefits.
