As our Director of IT, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and strategic direction of the organization's IT operations. This includes leading a team of IT professionals, managing the organization's technology infrastructure, and ensuring that technology systems and processes are aligned with the company's goals and objectives. This role will include a close working relationship with our Director of Security, Director of Applications Operations as well as engineering leadership.


Salary Range:  Base + Bonus + Benefits + Equity (if applicable)

Location guidelines-
Onsite = 5 days/week
Hybrid = Several days in the office
Remote = Remote but able to come to the office as requested for business needs

    • Strategic leadership of IT across the company, defining and owning OKR’s focused on mitigating risk.
    • Develop and execute the organization's IT strategy in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
    • Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and effective communication within the team and with other departments.
    • Ensure that all technology solutions are scalable, secure, and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
    • Evaluate and manage the organization's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and systems.
    • Identify and implement new technologies that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's operations.
    • Manage the organization's technology budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
    • Develop and maintain project plans and timelines (backlogs) for IT engineering projects, ensuring that deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to.
    • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address technology-related challenges and opportunities.
    • Communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders about IT-related issues and initiatives.
    • Set the vision, strategy, and roadmaps for our IT programs.
    • Build relationships with other business and engineering leaders to determine possible risks and risk management processes.
    • Lead the development and implementation of effective and reasonable policies.
    • Develop a strategy for dealing with audits, compliance checks and external assessment processes.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
    • 15+ years of experience in IT, with 8+ years in a leadership role.
    • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of professionals.
    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure that deadlines are met.
    • Clear and concise communicator.
    • Strong technical expertise and knowledge of current and emerging technologies and trends.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and stakeholders.
    • Ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans and goals.
    • Experience managing a technology budget and allocating resources effectively.
    • Experience working with product development teams in an Agile or DevOps environment.
    • Excellent communication skills; Assisting with internal and external communication and improving transparency.
    • Demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others.
    • Demonstrated ability to create innovative solutions that create exceptional collaborative environments.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage projects at scale and across functions with high level of execution and quality.
    • Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment and solve problems of varying levels of complexity.
    • Capable of developing collaborative relationships with external and internal stakeholders

    • Experience building, leading, and mentoring direct reports while creating strong camaraderie and mission achievement.
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field or equivalent experience.
