As our Head of Security, you will be responsible for all aspects of security technology, strategy, and operations. You will lead and work closely with our InfoSec, Industrial Security and Special Projects leads to ensure that security is integrated into the organization's products, services and operational culture.




Salary Range:  Base + Bonus + Benefits + Equity (if applicable)
Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location. Information on the benefits offered is here. All offers are contingent on a cleared background check.

Location guidelines-
Onsite = 5 days/week
Hybrid = Several days in the office
Remote = Remote but able to come to the office as requested for business needs

    • Strategic leadership of Security across the company, defining and owning OKR’s focused on mitigating risk.
    • Set the vision, strategy, and roadmaps for our Security programs.
    • Coordinate with the Industrial Security Manager to develop and implement Insider Threat and Counterintelligence Vigilance Campaign as the Insider Threat Program Security Officer (ITPSO)
    • Conduct Insider Threat Program Working Group (ITPWG) meetings with senior leadership, discuss the ITP incidents and escalate as needed.
    • Build relationships with other business and engineering leaders to determine possible risks and risk management processes.
    • Create quarterly, annual and long-term cyber security and cyber risk management goals, articulate strategies, define metrics, and provide necessary updates to leadership.
    • Attract, hire, and retain a high-performing team of world-class security talent who will continue to address both the information and industrial security needs of the company.
    • Stay up to date with the latest security threats and trends and recommend appropriate security measures.
    • Identify, track, and communicate detailed metrics indicating overall security risk factors.
    • Lead the development and implementation of effective and reasonable policies.
    • Develop a strategy for dealing with audits, compliance checks and external assessment processes.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
    • Establish annual and long-range security and compliance goals.
    • Stand up and oversee the operation of a security operations center (SOC).
    • Lead the organization's response to security incidents and breaches.
    • Monitor and assess security risks, and recommend strategies to mitigate them.
    • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and antivirus software.
    • Define cyber security governance and control strategies for emerging technologies.
    • Develop and manage the security budget.
    • Manage the security awareness and training program for employees.
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
    • 15+ years of experience in information or industrial security, with 8+ years in a leadership role.
    • DoD Top Secret clearance and ability to maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
    • Strong understanding of security technologies and best practices.
    • Experience with Defense Security Counterintelligence Agency (DCSA) security review requirements
    • Knowledgeable of the following Government policies:  32 CFR Part 117, DoDM 5205.07 Vol 1-4, ICD 705.
    • Experience with regulatory compliance, such as HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, or NIST.
    • Full understanding of Cyber Security, specifically Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Special Access Programs (SAP)
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills
    • Relevant security certifications, such as CISSP or CISM.
    • Strong understanding of security technologies and best practices, as well as cloud security.
    • Experience working with product development teams in an Agile or DevOps environment.
    • Excellent communication skills; Assisting with internal and external communication and improving transparency.
    • Demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others.
    • Demonstrated ability to create innovative solutions that create exceptional collaborative environments.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage projects at scale and across functions with high level of execution and quality.
    • Ability to make complex security decisions independently.
    • Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment and solve problems of varying levels of complexity.
    • Capable of developing collaborative relationships with external and internal stakeholders
    • Strong communication to effectively present to customers, team members and senior leadership.
    • Identify inefficiencies. functional overlap, synergies and opportunities; implement solutions and close gaps.
    • Experience building, leading, and mentoring direct reports while creating strong camaraderie and mission achievement.
