The Director of Research and Evaluation will have the critical responsibility of overseeing our efforts to measure and track the impact of Memora’s care programs on delivering value to patients and care teams. The ideal candidate will bring deep quantitative skills in health services research as well as experience with performance assessment and working with data sets in healthcare. This role will be an integral part of our Care Delivery Team, and will also work closely with colleagues from Memora’s Product, Client Success and Commercial functions. Ideal candidates will be driven by the problem we are solving but also by the innovative approach and technology that we are applying to healthcare - looking to make a significant impact on healthcare delivery. Primary Responsibilities:
- Apply a quantitative lens to measuring the impact of Memora’s digital care programs, tracking outcomes that matter to patients as well as assessing value delivered to clients and care teams
- Lead our organization’s efforts to track program performance and generate insights that can be used to enhance and improve our programs
- Partner with the reporting function on our Product Team to enhance and strengthen our reporting both within specific programs as well as across programs
- Support our Client Success Team to track metrics that highlight the impact of our programs for each of our clients
- Support our Commercial Team to deliver ROI projections that can help prospective clients understand the value our offerings can unlock
- Analyze and compile program performance data, and play a lead role in writing white papers, manuscripts, and case studies
- Collaborate with client research teams to measure the impact of our programs and generate academic publications
Qualifications (Required):
- Masters degree or higher in health services research, epidemiology, public health or related field
- Deep industry work experience, including time working in an academic medical center or at a health plan, preferably in a health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) role or on a medical economics team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort with public speaking as well as the ability to write for both academic and lay audiences
- Experience working with healthcare datasets and knowledge of biostatistics
- Experience with all aspects of the clinical research process including study design, IRBs and compliance, data analysis, and compilation of final manuscripts
- Familiarity with quality measurement in healthcare, including pay-for-performance programs, HEDIS and STARS measures
- Strong prioritization, time management and organizational skills, with high attention to detail, accuracy and accountability
- Enthusiasm for learning, teamwork and professional personal interaction
Qualifications (Bonus):
- Familiarity with healthcare financial data, billing data, and claims data
- Experience with health actuarial analysis, ROI models and program evaluation
- Prior experience in the health technology space, including time spent assessing the impact of digital health tools on clinical outcomes
- Leadership skills, including prior experience managing teams of analysts
