The Technical Training team is responsible for developing the next-generation data-driven talent management solution that can help organizations solve their talent needs and help individuals reach their full potential. Who We Are Looking For
The Technical Instructor (C programming language) is an individual who lives at the intersection of Tech, Education and People. They love learning and can break down complex technical topics for beginners, but are equally capable of keeping up with veteran developers and engineers. The Technical Instructor is comfortable with both small and large groups of students, and can deliver effective, engaging content either in-person or in online sessions. This person will deliver the majority of training and content in the Japanese language.
The Technical Instructor does not just deliver content, but also has an active role in shaping course content at the Woven by Toyota Dojo. The Technical Instructor explores implementations of course exercises and projects and takes initiative in generating new ideas for future content. The Technical Instructor will use their programming skills to make mock apps, coding exercises and projects for students. The Technical Instructor will also work with in-house engineers and developers to stay up-to-date with the latest software tools and practices and translate that into course content.
The Technical Instructor strives to keep their own skills updated and utilizes in-house and external resources for studying new programming languages, best practices for coding, program design patterns, and more.
This position specifically requires deep understanding and competence in the C programming language.
Responsibilities
・Deliver engaging courses and workshops to software engineers and embedded systems developers on the C programming language
・Mentor employees in C programming & software design best practices
・Show students hands-on how C is directly linked to hardware and how to program both microcontrollers and microprocessors
・Generate exciting educational content on the C language and its intersection with hardware
・Spend time learning new technologies and reading about tech market trends, specifically in the automotive and manufacturing industries
・Deliver training and content 80% in the Japanese language
Minimum Requirement
・3+ years of experience developing programs, apps, embedded systems, tools or related technology in the C programming language
・Native, near native, or high level of Japanese language proficiency
- Must be able to deliver training smoothly in Japanese and produce content in the Japanese language
・Proven track record in delivering trainings in-person and online OR an interest in learning how to deliver courses and work with people
・Curriculum and content development experience OR a willingness to learn how
・3+ years previous experience in a technical role (Software Development/Engineering, Software Architecture, Cloud DevOps, Data Science or similar)
・Conversational level English language skills (high or near-native skill level not required)
