Essential Duties:
Perform DC and RF characterization in a Class 10 cleanroom of various silicon and III/V semiconductor technologies on manual and semi-automated wafer-probe test stations.
Store, analyze, and retrieve in-line process and electrical characterization data using various software platforms in conjunction with a relational database system.
Demonstrate proficiency with other Test/Metrology equipment and respond to queries regarding basic operation.
Perform routine Test and Metrology-equipment monitoring activities and engage with equipment support as needed.
Interact with cleanroom process engineers, test engineers, and senior technical staff to consolidate information and create presentation quality reports.
Required Skills:
5+ years’ experience with semiconductor characterization equipment (SMUs, capacitance meters, switch matrices, network analyzers, wafer probers, etc.); statistical analysis methods using software tools such as JMP, MATLAB, and EXCEL; and interacting with and configuring SQL databases.
Must be able to work safely in laboratory settings including device testing and Class 10 cleanroom facilities.
Good verbal and written skills to work with a large cross-section of personnel.
Knowledge of general semiconductor device and micro-fabrication principles. Candidate should be able to interpret basic device data and correlate experimental results with device performance and behavior. Candidate must also possess the ability to cross-train to key metrology modules to support relevant metro module operations. Knowledge of software tools used for modeling, analysis, and data collection (MATLAB, JMP) in the Microsoft Windows operating systems.
Required Education:
Trade school certification or
B.S.in electrical engineering or physics. Emphasis on device physics and characterization, data analysis, and computer software tools used in the semiconductor micro-fabrication industry is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work safely in laboratory settings including device testing and Class 10 clean room facilities. Good verbal and written skills to work with a large cross section of personnel.
Special Requirements:
U.S. citizenship is required.
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $39.62 - $49.54 per hour + bonus + benefits.
