About the Role
As an Engineering Manager, Core Platform, you'll report to the Director of Engineering. You will manage a team of engineers to build a platform that makes it easy to build automations for our customers.

    • Work with engineering leaders to drive the vision of AKASA’s Automation Platform
    • Set the priorities and direction for your team by taking feedback from users and understanding their pain points
    • Support your team in building excellent software that delights users
    • Work cross functionally with Product, TPM, and other Eng teams to drive your projects to completion
    • Constantly re-evaluate and improve engineering processes such as on-call, retrospectives, hiring process, and onboarding
    • Hire, develop, and retain an excellent engineering team
    • Raise our engineering bar by sharing your expertise and best practices with the team.
    • BS in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related field, and/or relevant work experience
    • 5+ years experience in a software engineering role (we work with Python, React, Postgres and AWS.)
    • Experience making difficult decisions and evaluating tradeoffs when no perfect solution is available
    • Ability and eagerness to help where the company needs you most, including zooming into the technical details and zooming out to look at the big picture
    • Track record of leading complex technical projects and driving them to completion
    • 5+ years of people management experience
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Solid organizational skills for deadline-driven projects

    • The anticipated salary range for this role is $205,000 - $240,000 + Equity. Variable may vary based on location, experience, and qualifications.
