Based in Southern California with locations in Malibu, Calabasas and Camarillo; HRL has been on the leading edge of technology, conducting pioneering research and advancing the state of the art.
The primary job is to help ensure health and compliance. This includes day-to-day industrial hygiene, general and construction safety compliance activities at HRL sites including Malibu, Lost Hills, Westlake and Camarillo CA.
Required Skills:
3+ years’ experience in industrial hygiene and safety with a working knowledge of local, state and federal environmental regulations.
Highly motivated self-starter, be organized and detail oriented,
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work effectively and collaboratively with others.
Experience in Industrial Hygiene Monitoring and Reporting
Lock-Out/Tag-Out Procedures
Development of Job Hazard Assessments
Construction Safety Inspections and Program Administration
Non Ionizing Radiation
Electrical Safety
Develop And Deliver Health and Safety Related Training
Chemical Inventories and Segregation
Proficiency In Microsoft Office Suite, Including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook
Cal/OSHA Regulations
CA Building Code and Fire Code
Desired Skills:
· Asbestos Supervisor/Inspector
· OSHA General Industry or Construction 40 Hour
Required Education:
Bachelors of Science or above in industrial hygiene, environmental, health & safety, or a related field.
Physical Requirements:
Tasks may require the ability to exert very moderate physical effort in light work. Some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Special Requirements:
US Citizenship Required
Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance is preferred
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
Available to work in our other southern CA locations which may include Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, and/or Calabasas
Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $70,200 - $117,000 + bonus + benefits.
