Field Service Engineer

Your New Role and Team
Our Engineering team is looking to hire a Field Service Engineer. Working closely with our Hardware, Software, AI Engineering, and Sales Teams, you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of the design, architecture, and implementation of our current robotic systems and help shape future versions of our general-purpose robots.

The best candidates for this role have excellent mechanical and mechatronics skills, experience of working with Linux operating systems, and hands-on experience in modifying complex mechanisms and optimizing for multiple design goals. You’ll be a valued contributor as you learn how our complex robotic systems work, own and support solutions from design and execution through to deployment and support, and collaborate with other team members to create, integrate, scale, and maintain Sanctuary’s general-purpose robots and help build out our Labour-as-a-Service business model.

    • Your Experience

      Qualifications:
    • Diploma in mechatronics, electrical, mechanical engineering, computer science, or engineering physics; a related technical field or equivalent work experience
    • Demonstrated experience with Linux operating systems
    • Demonstrated experience of working in production / on-site with customers

    • Skills:

    • Extensive debugging and troubleshooting skills
    • Experience with repairing electro-mechanical assemblies, basic knowledge of fabrication & assembly
    • Demonstrated knowledge of configuration-management
    • Experience with tuning and operating control systems
    • Excellent documentation skills and on the fly problem solving skills
    • Clear communication skills, both with customers, management and engineering partners
    • Some knowledge of robotic systems will be an asset
