The Finance Manager makes an impact on our organization and leads the accounting/finance function through tremendous growth and change. This role provides strategic thought to the COO/CFO and lays the foundational work to scale, while also managing daily tactical processes.

    • Move the Accounting organization “in-house” to NetSuite or equivalent hosted application.
    • Build and manage the team responsible for all aspects of accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, capital assets, tax, equity and payroll.
    • Lead the annual budgeting process, including preparation of financial plan and content for approval.
    • Foster an environment of continuous improvement to identify, develop, and implement process changes to increase efficiency, ensure accurate monthly reporting, and streamline accounting processes.
    • Play a lead role in the preparation of financial updates and analysis.
    • Partner with the operations and commercial teams to develop "one source of truth" on metrics reporting, asset management, and unit fulfillment data.
    • Manage the accounting close on a monthly basis, including but not limited to reviewing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, and reviewing financial statements.
    • Implement new tools (ERP projects as well as excel projects) to aid in the accounting close to increase efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with all federal research grant programs, including the proper tracking of expenses and timely completion of audits.
    • Undertake financial reporting – monthly, quarterly, annually.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • 10+ years experience in Accounting and Finance, including at least 5 years of management experience.
    • SaaS revenue model accounting experience is a must.
    • Healthcare industry accounting experience is a must.
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
    • Public company and Big 4 experience is preferred.
    • CPA license in good standing (inactive OK) is preferred.
    • Highly organized, adaptable, able to flourish in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excel wizard, Powerpoint expert.
    • Ability to quickly learn new systems/processes and then train others.
    • Experience managing transition from QuickBooks (or similar) to a hosted solution such as NetSuite.
    • Proficient with Microsoft 365 or similar software.
