Core/Daytime shift position
General Description:
Experienced Lead Engineer needed to lead high mix, low volume production/engineering team in CVD and ALD thin film deposition. Substrate materials include III-V (GaAs, InP, GaN, etc.) and silicon materials and wafer sizes range from 75 mm to 200 mm. Candidate must have in-depth and hands-on experience with CVD and ALD processes and the associated metrology.
Essential Duties:
Working in a Class 10 (ISO-4) Cleanroom environment, candidate will lead process development, design and perform experiments, analyze data, and present results to management and customers. Candidate will also lead efforts to improve existing equipment performance, and lead efforts to purchase new equipment. Experience and skills in processing of semiconductor devices and circuits, especially CVD and ALD processes, as well as metrology and characterization methods including SEM, AFM, SIMS and spectroscopic measurements is required. Experience with dry etch processes including ICP, RIE, and DSE is highly desirable. Candidates should possess a proven track record of developing novel and successful solutions to complex technical issues. Must be an independent individual who can identify areas in need of improvement; problem solve technical and interpersonal issues; and handle task scheduling.
Required Skills:
An understanding of compound semiconductor devices and circuits, and related processes. Use of semiconductor processing tools (CVD, ALD, RIE) and an understanding of how they integrate into semiconductor technologies. Use of analytical tools (microscopes, ellipsometer, SEM/EDX, AFM etc.) and standard scientific software programs (JMP). Leadership skills that involve leading a group of development/process engineers and coordination with the research staff/management. Knowledge of plasma systems desired.
Required Education:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related fields, or 10+ years of experience.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work within a cleanroom environment wearing personal protective equipment to include lab coveralls, chemical apron, hood, facemask, hairnets, safety gloves and goggles. Walking and/or standing may be required for 70-80% of the day. Must possess motor skills appropriate to the task. Must be able to lift/push/pull 25-30 pounds consistently.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 - $200,000 + bonus + benefits.
