Scale is looking for an experienced product manager and people leader to drive the product vision and executional development over a broad suite of products & technical systems that underlie Scale’s end-to-end Operations. You will lead a team of product managers focused on product roadmaps across initiatives dealing with acquisition funnel, training, pay systems, internal tools, and workforce allocation. You will synthesize a vision across these products, particularly where they interconnect and influence each other. You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, and Operations to take products from future-state vision to fully-deployed solution, and coordinate with Operations on roadmap strategy and priorities. You will be responsible for developing a cohesive Operations product vision and for driving its execution, using qualitative Operations team feedback as well as quantitative metrics and KPI’s to guide decisions and measure success. Your remit will include everything from our tasker applications, to internal tooling, and beyond.
The Group Product Manager, Operations Infrastructure owns all aspects of Operations products, systems, and tooling experiences and features. You will be responsible for leading a team of product managers that will drive the identification & sizing of new opportunities, experiment & iterate new features, and execute all development from test to production / roll-out with Engineering and Operations teams. This role is critical to increasing the company’s ability to scale its business and supporting operations, and your success will be the company's success in enabling the next generation of AI.
You will :
- Work with Operations leaders to develop a coherent Product Vision and Roadmap that spans all of our Operations systems, products, and tools, including surface area between systems.
- Design the right procedures for collecting feedback on feature requests from project managers of all levels.
- Create approval procedures for work on systems that may face customer or contractors.
- Lead a team of Product Managers, and manage the product development, planning process, and execution of the roadmap
- Prioritize resourcing including assessing value and degree of engineering investment required.
- Collaborate with and drive cross-functional alignment on the broader execution team spanning engineering, operations, legal / compliance, PR / communications, and more.
- Think through both big picture implications and the small details of decisions, constantly testing, disproving, and affirming product hypotheses to identify core problems, solutions and drive continuous improvement.
- Have an in-depth understanding of markets, competition and customer/user requirements.
- Train product managers on your team on specifics or product strategy and product leadership.
- Be a thought partner to Operations and Engineering executives on the strategy for internal tooling.
You Have :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical / STEM field or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of product management experience or equivalent.
- Proven track record leading high performing product teams. Ideally you'd have 3+ years of experience leading multiple PM's.
- Ability to take initiative, interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels, and build productive working relationships.
- A strong product and design vision, knowing from experience what works, when to fix, and when to experiment along with experience "sizing the prize" and prioritizing across multiple competing opportunities.
- A user-first mentality, always doing right by whoever is using the product paired with a data-driven approach, always digging deep, iterating quickly, and finding data to support plans or experiments.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and process-oriented skills to help manage existing processes and make improvements, as needed.
Nice to haves :
- Solid experience with marketplace systems on 2-sided platforms, B2C or SMB growth / user funnels, knowledge of experimentation and instrumentation tools.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Tableau, Webflow, Python/Pandas, Javascript, React, Node and design tools.
- Deep understanding of consumer internet technology and its applications.
The base salary range for this full-time position in our hub locations of San Francisco, New York, or Seattle, is $224,000-$280,000. Compensation packages at Scale include base salary, equity, and benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position, determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, interview performance, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Scale employees are also granted Stock Options that are awarded upon board of director approval.
