Why this role?

Cohere is seeking an exceptional Head of Product Led Growth to spearhead our product-led growth, acquisition, and lifecycle initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will drive a comprehensive strategy across all business segments and industries. In this hands-on leadership role your mission will be to optimize every touchpoint of the developer and user journey, from initial demand generation and acquisition through sign-up, onboarding, and beyond. You'll be responsible for converting product-qualified leads (PQLs) into marketing-qualified leads (MQLs), ultimately fueling our pipeline growth.

As a key leader in our organization, you will serve as an essential bridge between our global go-to-market and product growth teams and the broader marketing organization. You'll ensure seamless communication and alignment of strategies, leveraging your expertise to enhance our product-led growth funnel from initial user acquisition, conversion testing, to revenue generation.     • Shape the future by defining and executing Cohere's global product-led growth (PLG) strategy, encompassing user attraction, activation, retention, and revenue expansion across our product portfolio.
    • Partner with Sales, Operations, Marketing, Analytics, and Customer Success teams to develop and implement scalable, low-touch growth strategies for our Commercial business segment.  Partner with global sales teams to identify key markets and accounts, develop targeted marketing programs, and support account-based marketing initiatives.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales and marketing teams to identify and prioritize features that will drive customer engagement and retention and ensure alignment on shared objectives
    • Identify opportunities to optimize the customer lifecycle, including activation, onboarding, and cross-sell initiatives.
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy aligning with company objectives for developer-led and sales-led growth.
    • Build and lead a high-performing team of Growth Product Managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
    • Drive product enhancements and optimizations to improve user acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization across web and product experiences.
    • Leverage the Cohere product as a key growth driver to increase customer acquisition, optimize acquisition costs, improve web conversions, and expand monthly active users.
    • Design and implement multi-channel acquisition campaigns, optimizing user journeys from initial touchpoint to conversion.
    • Develop strategies for customer nurturing and retention.  Lead experimentation and optimization efforts across the user journey.  Analyze user data and feedback to uncover insights and opportunities. Define and track metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of PLG initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
    • 10+ years of marketing experience in a technology-focused company, with at least 7 years in a product-led growth leadership role at a cloud organization.
    • Proven track record of successfully scaling a company and managing teams of senior marketing leaders and individual contributors.
    • Strong technical acumen, with the ability to engage deeply on technical topics and translate complex features into clear customer benefits and outcomes.
    • Deep expertise in inbound and outbound marketing strategies, with a strong grasp of digital marketing best practices across web, campaigns, testing, and analytics.
    • Extensive experience in designing and implementing successful Account Based Marketing (ABM) programs and driving marketing activities with channel partners.
    • Exceptional people management skills, including the ability to build and lead diverse, high-performing teams.
    • Proven ability to translate business objectives into clear, actionable marketing plans with measurable goals.
    • Significant experience in growing revenue for a substantial product line or business unit.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization.
