Head of Growth

Vannevar Labs brings innovative, robust, and scalable software design to the public servants working in defense and national security keeping our country safe.

As a team, we exist because we believe in public service, and we think that our democracy and government improve only if we put serious, collective effort into improving them, including the technology our government uses.

Our flagship product is Decrypt, a software platform for collecting and processing foreign language text data with a UI for enabling users to quickly interpret the data. Decrypt is driving some of our most important military and foreign policy decisions by enabling our government partners to understand and respond to foreign actors in ways previously not possible.

We are a growth startup with investment from Felicis Ventures, DFJ Growth, Aloft VC, General Catalyst, Point72, Costanoa Ventures, and Shield Capital.

We are looking for a Head of Growth to build and develop our go-to market team and deliver significant growth outcomes at Vannevar. This position will report to our Co-founder / President and partner closely with our Head of Public Policy & Strategy as well as our Director of Mission Success. Our senior mission development leads will report directly to the Head of Growth.

As our Head of Growth , you will quarterback our defense go-to market strategies, including expanding our current deployments and developing new national security deployments. You will manage our growth leads and hire new ones. You will be responsible for managing this team to deliver on our annual growth objectives as a company.  These teams focus on launching foothold pilots, converting pilots into larger projects, and embedding those projects within existing programs or inventing new ones within the national security space.

About You –

· You are deeply experienced in driving new technology adoption and program scaling within the Department of Defense.

· You have been responsible for delivering significant $50M+ revenue outcomes in the national security technology sector.

· You have navigated complex transitions from small-scale pilots to large-scale defense programs through open competition and category creation.

· You are motivated to work in a national security startup where you can build a team and drive significant growth through creative approaches, deep understanding of our technologies and their applications to strategic competition with nation states, and relentless ground game.
