Based in Southern California with locations in Malibu, Calabasas and Camarillo; HRL has been on the leading edge of technology, conducting pioneering research and advancing the state of the art.

The IT Asset Management Specialist is responsible for HRL Information Systems’ asset and inventory management. This role will also manage the maintenance of records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for HRL’s hardware, software, and subscriptions.

Essential Duties:
•Confirm the usage and renew software contracts
•Submit requisitions for new software and hardware products
•Monitor the status of purchase/renewal requisitions
•Request quotes from vendors
•Follow up with approvers and vendors on the status of requests and purchases
•Ensure that purchases are invoiced and paid
•Update databases with purchase, license, and hardware stock information
•Maintain monthly accountability document of purchases and costs
•Maintain asset stockroom

Required Skills:
•3+ years of administration/coordination experience
•1-2 years of purchasing/procurement
•Software or Hardware asset management experience
•Must be able to work well with individuals at all levels, inside and outside of the IT organization
•Intermediate skills in MS Excel and MS Word
•Knowledge of asset management principles
•Experience with ITAM lifecycle

Desired Skills:
•Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar platform
•Previous experience working in an IT department
•Software or Hardware asset management experience
•Comfortable with communicating over the phone, through email and in person
•Strong computer literacy

Special Requirements:
This position requires that the applicant selected be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $59,000 - $98,000 + bonus + benefits.
