Essential Duties
Perform as Technical Test Lead for the IR Test & Integration team. Job functions include radiometric testing, ROIC characterization, development of product performance & verification test plans, configuration and validation of advanced IR test system, and leading and mentoring team of test engineers in radiometric test and analysis. In addition, perform analyses, test reports and present test and development results to technical staff and management.
Required Skills
Minimum of 8 years of experience working in test & development laboratory performing radiometric testing and infrared focal plane characterizing in a cryostat. Experience developing radiometric test plan per performance specification. Working knowledge of ROIC circuit operation and device physics. Qualified candidate will have extensive experience with general laboratory equipment as well as blackbodies, integrating spheres, FTIRs, environmental testing, and MATLAB development. Dewar design, knowledge of infrared optics and familiarity with frame-grabber acquisition systems are plusses.
Proficiency in use of computers, engineering work stations, verbal and written communication, interaction with customers/colleagues, and a deadline-driven/fast-paced environment.
Education Required
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or Optics with background in infrared focal planes (IRFPAs) or related field a plus.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift and move large format dewars un-aided and handle cryogenic liquids.
Special Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required.
Compensation
The base salary range for this full-time position is $104,000 - $174,000 + bonus + benefits.
