Legal Counsel - US - SaaS Contract

- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts of all types, including vendor, sponsorship, consulting, marketing, licensing, technology, privacy, cybersecurity, facility/building leases and other agreements.

- Draft and update model standard templates and clauses. Develop contract review processes to enhance efficiencies.

- Responsible for providing legal counsel and guidance to all levels of the Company, including executive management.

- Prepare training materials for internal clients on contract principles, negotiation strategy, and general procedures.

- Works with finance, procurement and business clients to manage/supervise the contract approval process.

- Provide support to any aspect of the legal function such as privacy/cybersecurity, policies and procedures, document retention, claims, litigation, compliance, and special projects, as assigned by the executive team.

- Graduate Degree in LL.B/B.L/LL.M

- 7 years of experience working as corporate counsel / providing legal support and reviewing contracts.

- At least 5 years of experience supporting a SaaS company and managing SaaS contracts.

- Experience working with US-based companies required and a preference for international experience.

- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, both verbally and in writing.

- Excellent MS Office suite skills (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).

- Outstanding writing and editing skills.

- Outstanding organization and time management skills.

- Outstanding negotiating and analytical skills.

- Adaptability and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters and tasks, adjust to changing circumstances, and willingness to cross-train in other practice areas.

- Ability to handle a large volume of matters, including a combination of small and large contracts, while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

- A team player who is able to work independently as well as collaboratively.

- Ability to build consensus with business clients in a calm and professional demeanour.
