General Description:
The Manager of Information Technology manages the IT Operations and Special Programs teams responsible for the successful delivery of IT services in support of Enterprise and Classified program environments. Deep technological expertise with a wide range of IT disciplines is a must.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position is a highly technical supervisory position, responsible for people and operational management, and budget allocation.
Essential Duties:
· Report to the Deputy Director of Information Systems and serve as a member of the Information Systems leadership team
· Team building, employee coaching, and staff development to effectively lead in a cross-functional environment with shifting priorities and requirements
· Management and execution of internal SLAs
· Strong technical background and ability in order to provide detailed guidance and direction to the team
· Confidently interface with senior management, research management, and business unit leaders
· Partner with IT Product Owners to ensure flawless and secure execution and delivery of information services and the necessary business support to operate efficiently per SLA and other delivery commitments
· Multitask in a dynamic environment; develop solutions to various complex problems and plan, schedule, and prioritize tasks
Required Skills:
· 3+ years of relevant IT Leadership Experience
· 5+ years of management or leading teams at various levels
· 7+ years of technical hands-on IT Service Management, Systems Administration, Cybersecurity, or Network Engineering
· Superior leadership, people, and organizational skills
· Excellent judgment and solid decision-making
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Strong writing, reporting, and analytical skills
· Experience with governance frameworks, including NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, ICD 503, JSIG, and/or CNSSI 1253
Required Education:
· Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in information technology or related technical discipline
· Professional Certification (CISSP, Security+, CASP, etc)
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Special Requirements:
This position is 100% on-site. Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, and in some cases, with little to no advance notice. This position will require up to 10% travel.
Must be a US Citizen. Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph is required.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $116,000 - $194,000 + bonus + benefits.
