We are building a technology platform that allows all investors, regardless of age, net worth, or geography, to access personalized, automated, and intelligent investments across all asset classes. The Vise sales team focuses on the most critical part of our business - our potential and current clients, Independent Financial Advisors. As a trusted consultant and advisor, our Managing Directors own client relationships end to end, from setting the strategy to acquire new clients, through onboarding and deepening relationships through acquiring additional assets.
A successful Managing Director will seek to deeply understand Advisors’ client needs, business pains and goals and showcase how Vise gives them the tools they need to build, manage and explain p ersonalized, automated and intelligent investment portfolios. Relationship driven and customer obsessed, you will maintain relationships and grow new ones, by continuously identifying asset gathering opportunities.
What you will own
- Establish strategy for identifying and acquiring new client relationships, growing book share through continued asset gathering and maintaining assets
- Own and develop prospecting and nurture strategies for your territory, manage sales activities and forecasting through Salesforce
- Develop, maintain, and deepen relationships with advisors. Build trust, rapport and credibility
- Subject Matter Expert in independent wealth advisory with knowledge of investment products and offerings, as well as advisor tech
- Partner with Investment strategy to educate prospective and current clients on Vise’s investment methodology and platform capabilities
- Partner with Customer Success to onboard clients and ensure they have the resources and support to better serve our clients
- Effective aggregation and communication of product feedback to the product and engineering teams to help shape our product roadmap
What you will bring on Day 1
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a full-lifecycle sales roles with a proven track record of success in consultative, solution based sales
- Understanding of the independent wealth management industry, with direct sales experience to the RIA community
- Comfortable explaining complex investment principles and fundamental principles of portfolio management.
- Strong prospecting and pipeline generation experience
- Relationship driven with client first mentality
- Experience managing relationships of varying complexity
- Proven negotiation ability
- Outstanding communication, problem solving, time management and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic with a direct, self-assured and company-first mentality
- Prior experience in fast paced scrappy startup environments strongly preferred
- Proven business development success through effective use of core sales tools: Salesforce, Discover Data, LinkedIn, SalesLoft, Hubspot, Google Apps, Microsoft Office
- CFP or CFA a plus
Through the internal and market data Vise has collected, we expect the salary range for this position to be $135,000-175,000 per year, plus commissions and a competitive equity package.
