Job purpose
The Manufacturing Engineer will be the point of contact with our Bay Area contract manufacturer to prep our instrument for commercial release. The successful candidate will own and help generate documentation package for assembling and bringing up our instrument. This includes developing manufacturing processes, fixtures and QC procedures as needed. As well as assemble, test and debug various components of our instrument to improve reliability. Design test plans and write test reports to monitor instrument performance. As a Manufacturing Engineering you will provide recommendations to improve manufacturability Minimum Qualifications. This is an on-site position.

    • This is an on-site position
    • Four year degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
    • Five years’ experience in building and testing instrumentation
    • Experience with 3D CAD Software (Solidworks preferred)
    • Hands on experience with standard lab tools and measurement devices
    • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced and multi-disciplinary environment
    • Strong technical writing and communication skills
    • 10+ years’ experience building and testing instruments
    • Experience with end-to-end transfer of a product to manufacturing
    • Ability to perform PCBA board bring-up and hands-on rework
    • Experience with pneumatics and fluidics
    • Annual salary range is $130,000 - $160,000 DOE
