Supervisory Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be leading a high performing marketing, PR, media and communications team.
Essential Duties:
Ability to develop marketing and communications strategies translated from executive plans while managing a multi-disciplined team covering multimedia production, graphics, and web expertise.
Quick thinker, results-oriented, articulate, creative able to see the big picture while having a keen eye for detail, collaborative, resourceful, supportive, extremely well-organized, and enthusiastic. Must have an interest in science and engineering. Skilled at thinking on your feet and comfortable in a fast-growing work environment. Must have a strong respect for deadlines.
Ability to maintain a high level of productivity while managing multiple competing priorities across several disciplines.
Required Skills:
•Experience in working with senior stakeholders
•10+ years hands-on multimedia production management, video and print
•Exemplary writing and communication skills for both internal and external audiences: employee communications, press releases, social media posts, newsletters, etc.
•Ability to craft employee centric communications to set the tone for the organization
•Ability to translate scientific stories into marketing material
•Current knowledge of digital marketing and marketing strategy
•Ability to build and execute a global social media strategy
•Advanced knowledge of social media, SEO and News Monitoring
•Expert in Public Relations and Branding and how to maintain the integrity of the brand
•Working knowledge of production environment and tools (Adobe Creative Suite and Studio Tools)
•Working understanding of website maintenance and html coding
•Ability to remain creative while working with very strong guidelines and restrictions
•Strong cross functional relationship building abilities
•Excellent people management and leadership skill
Required Education:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related discipline is preferred.
Special Requirements:
Strong portfolio of prior work required, preferably in a science or engineering related business
Prior team leadership experience
Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $116,000 - $194,000 + bonus + benefits.
