Essential Duties:
Develop, implement, and validate statistical and computational models that can interpret brain activity at multiple time points to predict future behavioral performance in tasks, as well as real-time pattern recognition algorithms for decoding sensor signals.
Develop computational cognitive models that simulate brain activity.
Additional job functions include solving customer problems, writing invention disclosures, publishing papers, briefing customers, and assisting in marketing HRL expertise.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in Python, C++, Matlab, strong programming skills, machine learning and deep learning packages.
Research experience in one or more of the following areas: neural statistical modeling, brain-machine interfaces, and computational neuroscience.
Experience in high-density EEG decoding, pattern recognition applied to brain/body signals, machine learning with very limited training data, and brain-machine interfaces.
Experience developing innovative solutions based upon the application of relevant research results from a wide variety of sources.
Software programming, human subjects research, and active participation in R&D team activities is required.
Desired Skills:
Background in one or more of the following areas: cognitive neuroscience, neural modeling, statistical modeling, neurophysiology, and machine learning.
Any programming experience with high-performance computing will be a plus.
Required Education:
M.S., Ph.D. or pursuing a graduate degree in Applied Mathematics, Computational Neuroscience, Bio-Statistics, Machine Learning, and related fields.
Physical Requirements:
Good communication (verbal and written) skills.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position $35 - $50 per hour.
