General Description:
We are seeking an organized individual to support our business expediting and inventory needs.  This individual will contribute from initial request to delivery of HRL’s procurement process. The candidate should exhibit a skill set which includes being focused and detail oriented, an independent self-starter who instantly sees what needs to be done and follows through.  General activities include obtaining quotes, completing paperwork and/or approval packages for purchase order requests, submitting order requests, tracking purchase orders through delivery, generating reports for program management, and other areas of customer service/data entry/tracking. A Material Expeditor tasks will evolve to support Special Program inventory Control team.

Essential Duties:
Learn to navigate software packages; OnBase, Costpoint, Alchemy or other SAP
Submit purchase order requests using OnBase
Acquire quotes and support documents needed for purchase orders.
Track status of purchase orders and vendor deliveries with weekly trackers with reporting to program managers
Support Special Program teams with planning, tracking, organization of project materials, components, and supplies.
Support Inventory Control team order, tracking and delivery assistance.
Follow detailed Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).

Required Skills:
3+ years of experience working in a business office, laboratory, or manufacturing environment.
Experience within a Business office environment supporting Purchasing, Accounts payable, Shipping & Receiving procedures; Inventory parts tracking.
Possess strong organizational skills with focus, attention to details and process follow through to completion.
Ability to understand and comprehend Vendor quote specifications, requirements, and bill of materials.
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to sort out Shipping & Receiving, Property, and Accounts Payable issues when receiving deliveries and verifying account payments.
Use of Microsoft Office suite (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio), database entry and correction.

Required Education:
High School Diploma required.
College bachelor’s or associate degree preferred.

Special Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship is required.
An active TS/SCI with polygraph is strongly preferred.
Candidates with an active Secret clearance may be considered.

Compensation:
The range for this full-time position is $31.54 - $38.48 per hour + bonus + benefits.
