About the role:

Skydio is seeking a talented multi-disciplinary program manager to ensure successful outcomes for new products within the Operations organization. In this role, your contributions will drive quality, speed to market, productivity, production volumes, scaling of manufacturing operations, and profitability.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Work with cross-functional product, marketing, R&D, supply chain, production, logistics, and manufacturing engineering groups teams to define and lead the detailed development and implementation plan for new products, providing operations input and guidance
  • Define objectives and metrics for projects with clear exit criteria for each phase to meet schedule, cost, quality, and capacity targets
  • Help drive supply chain, manufacturing, and quality process development, ensuring deliverables are being completed on time for a successful project completion
  • Track progress, communicate, hold team accountable, and escalate issues as appropriate throughout the project cycle
  • Collaborate with cross functional managers and individual contributors to run program review meetings, providing succinct status updates, soliciting critical input, and communicating risks
  • Scope includes managing the following:
    • Operations inputs to master schedule (material, tooling, and equipment lead times; production ramp forecast)
    • Communication of key operations deliverables (NUDD, MIL, make vs. buy, supplier selection, unit COGS, Capex & NRE budget, validation activities)
    • Build readiness and execution from prototype through production ramp (BOM locked, clear to build, line readiness, test readiness, daily input & output, issue escalation)

What makes you a strong fit:

  • Strong electro-mechanical PM background, preferably with consumer and industrial electronics
  • Functional understanding of manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and engineering roles throughout the product development process
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Analytical approach to drive recommendations based on data
  • Ability to identify or develop tools for coordinating and tracking project progress
  • Willingness to work outside the scope of your role to cover gaps in ownership
  • Ability to remain flexible, calm, and creative in the face of uncertainty
  • Detail oriented

Compensation Range:

  • The annual base salary range for this position is $115,000 - 170,000*.  Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. In addition to base salary, Skydio full-time employees are eligible to enroll in our benefit plans and take advantage of a variety of incentives and stipends.

*For some positions the pay may be dependent upon the individual's regional location.
