Your Mission We are seeking a highly skilled Consulting Solutions Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will work with UiPath's customers to understand their automation needs, drivers for digital transformation, and design and develop technical solutions using UiPath's market-leading Business Automation Platform (BAP). The ideal candidate should have a broad understanding of multiple technology solutions, prior automation and solution-selling application experience in the enterprise IT domain and hold enterprise architecture credentials, with a track record of designing and implementing secure solutions across on-premises and cloud-based application environments. As a Consulting Solutions Engineer, you will be a trusted technical advisor to our most strategic enterprise customers. You will work collaboratively with our Sales, GTM, and Product Development teams, employing value-based selling pre-sales motions to achieve the technical win and translate the solution into business value. This role is a critical element of the Enterprise GTM Organization and a catalyst in achieving territory growth goals by landing and expanding UiPath's platform in the Enterprise customer segment. What you'll do at UiPath You will lead technical engagements and achieve technical wins in sales opportunities across our enterprise customers in the assigned territory. You will conduct discovery workshops and art of the possible sessions to unpack business processes ripe with automation potential. This entails employing design-thinking, active-listening, and extensive hands-on whiteboarding & solutioning to credibly demonstrate the power of the UiPath Business Automation Platform. While you must be able to conduct a full platform demo on your own, you will also work with our product specialists to architect and deliver targeted industry-specific automation demos and solutions for our enterprise customers post-discovery and after understanding their use cases and focus areas. You will orchestrate the successful outcomes of Proof of Concepts (POC) by leveraging regional and global specialist resources. We expect you to be the primary coordinator and dipstick of technical outcomes for our prioritized enterprise customers. Occasionally, you will be expected to evangelize the value of UiPath's technology in industry and customer events. As such, you will need to possess excellent communication and presentation skills and be comfortable doing this in front of technical and business stakeholders. You will be inquisitive and seek to sharpen your technical skills by acquiring new technical skills in adjacent technology areas such as security, application modernization, data analytics, AI, and cloud. You will gather requirements for application integration with our ecosystem partners and their technologies and understand the fit with UiPath and the customer's existing application stack. This will involve developing workflows and projects for specific use cases by integrating with different applications and products. You will design and develop Enterprise-grade technical artifacts as you consult and guide the customers from their AS-IS and TO-BE states. You will collaborate with the Customer Success and Professional Services teams to make the solution a reality for the customer by ensuring a clean and successful handover from the end of presales to the start of customer success and adoption. As the trusted technical advisor to our customers, we expect you to gather field requirements, market needs, customer product feedback, and feed this intelligently and in a prioritized manner to our product development teams. This ensures a sensing and feedback mechanism to achieve better product-market fit. What you'll bring to the team A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in solutions engineering & architecture or sales engineering (presales) in an enterprise software sales organization. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Application Engineering, or a related field. Intermediate-level knowledge and credentials in UiPath's market-leading Business Automation Platform or a related platform - but automation fundamentals are key. Enterprise architecture credentials (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and experience designing and implementing solutions that align with enterprise architecture frameworks. Domain experience in selling software solutions to at least one of these focus industries - FSI and Banking, Manufacturing, Telecom, Govt, and Retail. Knowledge in at least one advanced technology area like AI/ML, Data Analytics and Management, API and Web Services would be a plus. Given the prevalence of cloud, we expect intermediate-level knowledge of Infrastructure in advising our customers on UiPath's cloud and/or on-premises solutions. Experience in selling to enterprise customers in the countries within the assigned territory. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and cross-functional teams. Ability to maintain and develop senior relationships with technical decision-makers that can influence client technology decisions with a UiPath solution. Experience in training sales and technical personnel on architectures and solutions. Ability to validate proposed solutions and architectures and create appropriate technical assets and reusable solution artifacts for sales and technical team members to drive scale and replicability across the Sales Engineering Organization.
