About the role:

Skydio isn’t just a drone company, it’s also a vertically-integrated platform with services ranging from fleet management to mission planning to autonomous flight.

Because our customers use Skydio across a range of use cases (e.g. inspection, surveying, search & rescue, public safety), we want to deliver end-to-end solutions that integrate with their key systems of record (e.g. ESRI for geospatial data, IBM Maximo for asset mgmt).

You’ll lead technical discussions with technology partners and their developers, and help them create effective (use-case driven) integrations between Skydio and their solutions. You’ll also help improve our integration & developer offerings (integration capabilities, APIs, docs, sandboxes, etc) by working closely with our product and eng teams, and driving our connectivity roadmap.

This is a hugely impactful role which offers the opportunity to build and grow Skydio’s partner ecosystem and platform.


How you'll make an impact:

  • Build a strong developer community around Skydio products & APIs:
    • Be the foremost advocate for partner’s needs from an integration & API perspective
    • Ensure developers have a best-in-class experience across onboarding, documentation, tooling and support
    • Provide feedback to the product & engineering team about how partners are using Skydio APIs to help inform the API product roadmap
    • Write thought leadership pieces and speak at events  about how partners can build and  innovate on top of the Skydio platform
  • Help create integrations between Skydio & Partner Products:
    • Document key integration use cases between Skydio & Partner Solutions based on customer feedback + talking to Skydio’s Sales & Support Team
    • Understand how Skydio’s products + APIs can bring joint use cases to life
    • Understand partner’s products and APIs enough to drive integration discussions
    • Ultimately help create & improve connectivity between Skydio and partner platforms
    • Engage in discussion with partners to develop an integration roadmap if appropriate

What makes you a good fit:

  • 3 - 7 years of proven success working as a solutions engineer or Product Manager at a technology company.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting partner integrations centered on REST APIs
  • Engineering or other technical educational background that makes you at home in deep discussions with engineers on complex technical architectures, challenges, and tradeoffs.
  • Solution-oriented mindset - enjoy finding creative solutions to technical problems
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Dedicated team player who strives to enable others to do their best work.
  • A passion for speaking with -- and learning from -- customers

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with drones, digital twins or other new technologies
  • Experience with drone/aviation related protocols like MAVLINK
  • Drone, Photogrammetry, ArcGIS experience
  • Experience working with embedded integration platforms
  • An advanced technical degree in GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, etc

Compensation Range : The annual base salary range for this position is $102,000 - $145,125*. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. In addition to base salary, Skydio full-time employees are eligible to enroll in our benefit plans and take advantage of a variety of incentives and stipends.
