About the role:
Be a founding member of the Skydio India engineering team and play a core part in Skydio’s expansion into India! As a QA Engineer at Skydio India , you will be responsible for the QA and delivery of Skydio products for the Indian Military. About Skydio :
Skydio is the world leader in autonomous flight. When a drone understands its surroundings, it can operate autonomously, allowing any user to be successful with drone operations with minimal training. We're looking for a QA Engineer who is excited to deliver high quality drone software and hardware and bring this product to the Indian Military.
How you'll make an impact:
- Embedded with software development, testing and improving new features and localization of the Skydio product
- Be hands on with product, flying drones every day with user workflows in mind ensuring the highest quality experience possible
- Help to create a polished user experience through full interface validation test plans
- Ensure UI/UX aspects of the product flow seamlessly by working closely with engineering
- Run through regression and smoke tests and refine test plans to prevent bugs from reaching the customer
- Provide detailed bug reports to the Engineering Team using JIRA bug-tracking software
- Assist in system test execution by manually running smoke tests
- Collaborate with the software engineers to help refine test cases and update test plans
- Participate in the end-to-end software development life cycle
What makes you a good fit:
- 5+ years of experience doing QA Testing; Mobile QA experience highly preferred
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary product development teams to identify, track, and resolve cosmetic and functional bugs in pre-release software
- UAS system knowledge and familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems, and troubleshooting
- A great sense of how to find vulnerabilities in design and demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Strong familiarity with the Android operating system
- Experience using bug-tracking tools like JIRA as part of a team
- Experience developing and writing test plans from initial Product Requirement Documentation
- Experience testing autonomous hardware platforms
- Experience testing mobile apps for consumer hardware products is a plus
