As a QA manager, you will own the QA for the full suite of connected web and desktop applications. We believe in automation and are developing our e2e test automation framework. With a team of QA engineers, you will successfully apply automated testing and manual testing where needed. You will join a collaborative but highly autonomous working environment in which each member has a defined role with clear expectations, as well as the freedom to pursue individual projects.

    • Work with product management and software developers to identify the need to extend or adjust test cases
    • Decide what can be automated and what needs manual testing and coordinate the testing and development of automation
    • Find the right balance to cover the essential features of our highly configurable product while limiting the effort and response time to adjust test cases when features are changed
    • Create, enhance, debug, and run test cases: Be a role model and provide best practices for the QA team
    • Create test plans that include manual and automated tests
    • Setup and manage the regular test execution
    • Setup reporting and dashboards that show the system status at any given time including drill-down to identified issues
    • Integrate automated QA into the CI/CD process
    • Cover UI-based e2e functional and load testing
    • Potentially also API-based integration testing
    • Setup the process for change management in QA
    • Define the process for collaboration with developers about identified issues
    • Establish best practices for 1st level analytics of issues that are identified by internal tests or reported by customers
    • Setup and reporting of health status tests for production systems
    • Senior Level
    • Computer science background
    • Profound experience in QA for complex web applications
    • Extensive experience with QA automation
    • A self-starter that can own the full QA process and lead the effort to get to a fully automated QA
    • Ability to define comprehensive test cases as replacement of a system specification
    • Excellent analytical skills to understand the products, the customer-specific product environments, and the QA needs
    • A good understanding of the development life cycle
    • Good software development skills, preferably including Java Script
    • Great communication skills, so you can align with Cresta product management and software developers to match their needs
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where features change fast and the spec is sparse and your judgment is needed to define what needs to be covered by tests and what not
    • Enough confidence to have your ideas challenged without feeling like you're being challenged
