Lead Quality activities associated to lab resources, including equipment, lab environments, and an oversight on supply chain.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:
Organize and lead the Quality aspects of:
oLab equipment and tools- ensure that there are documented procedures in place for their qualification, maintenance, and replacement to prevent lab disruptions and support output quality products.
oLab environments- promote and ensure the implementation & maintenance of product-safe environments, including electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection, and Foreign Object Detection (FOD).
oSupply Chain- align Supplier Quality, Procurement, Property and Receiving and improve the interaction of these processes.
Contribute to improvements to HRL’s quality management systems (QMS) to maintain AS9100/ISO certification status.
Apply Quality tools and methods (i.e. Corrective Actions/Root Cause Analysis, Opportunities for Improvement) in identifying and driving improvements.
Support the HRL Quality Team as a team member, including contributing to general functions, upholding the QMS, cross training and serving as a backup.
Coach and develop direct reports.

Understands the interaction of processes related to the areas of responsibility and is able to collaborate well with the associated departments as well as stakeholders to promote improvements and efficiencies.
Applies a risk based approach on Quality applications across areas of responsibility.
Proficiency in documenting procedures and developing training materials associated to primary responsibilities.
Proficiency in problem solving tools and methods.
Ability to transition manual processes into automated solutions.
Able to work both self-directed, as well as with others as part of a team.
Math, computer and database skills using Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint are required.
Must be able to communicate effectively to all levels of staff & management, including presentation skills.
Possess good organizational skills.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline or similar, OR 5+ years working in an aerospace lab environment with Quality applications.
3+ years working with ISO 9001 OR AS9100 QMS.
Expert knowledge for most aspects of QMS, including experience undergoing audits to a quality standard.
Supervisory experience is desired.
Physical Requirements:
Physically capable to work within a class 10 Clean room.
Position requires onsite presence.
Special Requirements:
Able to work flexible hours.
Able to qualify for security clearance.
U.S. Citizen.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $86,000 - $140,000 + bonus + benefits.
