ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Contribute technical expertise and work within a focused team that designs, fabricates, integrates and tests RF and millimeter wave subsystems. Work closely with scientists and engineers to provide support in developing state of the art RF subsystems for communication, radar and sensing applications. Additional job functions include solving customer problems, writing invention disclosures, publishing papers, briefing customers, participating in proposal activities and assisting in marketing HRL expertise.
EXPERIENCE DESIRED
Some experience with modeling and simulating electronic components, RF electronics and circuit is desired. Experience with different families of FPGAs, DSPs, or microcontrollers is desired.
KNOWLEDGE DESIRED
A working familiarity with MATLAB and Python. Simulink is a plus. Understanding of basic circuit theory, electromagnetics, and digital signal processing. Familiarity with RF and high speed digital test equipment. Simulink experience, and working knowledge of RF components communication and radar systems is a plus.
Essential Physical/ Mental Requirements:
Applicant must be able to interact professionally with program managers, co-workers, customers, operate complex electronic equipment, perform detailed analyses of integrated circuits, and prepare written and oral presentations. Ability to work well in a team and independently. Must be willing to travel and work in a team of highly skilled engineers on complex projects, and willingness to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
EDUCATION DESIRED
Coursework in DSP, circuits, electromagnetics, and/or basic C programming. Specialized coursework in radar, communications, antennas, and/or VHDL is a plus.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $22 - $35 per hour.
