General Description
We are looking for an intern who can contribute technical expertise and work with a team of scientists and engineers that designs, fabricates and tests state of the art RF GaN devices.
Essential Duties
Work with an engineering team in contributing to the research and development of novel microfabrication technologies based on high frequency GaN transistors. Lead design of experiments, record and analyze data and present results and recommendations to senior staff. Projects may include interfacing with clean room staff, inspecting wafers, data acquisition, analysis and visualization.
Required Skills
Candidates should conceptually understand semiconductor wafer processing. Direct experience, knowledge or skills in processing semiconductor devices is a plus. Computer skills using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word are essential. Experience with python, JMP, Matlab is also a plus.
Education Required
UndergraduateĀ studies in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related field. This position is for current undergrad students but we can consider graduate students.
Physical Requirements
May be required to work within confined spaces and have both visual and hearing acuity. May include work within a class 10 Cleanroom. Must be able to work safely with and around potentially toxic and hazardous materials, chemicals and gases. Having good safety and housekeeping skills is absolutely essential.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $22 - $35 per hour.
