Cognitiv is looking for a dynamic and driven Sales Development Representative. The ideal candidate is someone excited to be a key contributor to the sales team and foster long-term relationships with our advertising clients. This teammate will wear many hats, all vital to Cognitiv’s revenue success. This is a role designed to lead to a pure sales position and therefore has a blend of both administrative and sales responsibilities.

This position will be located in the New York City office with a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in office (Mon/Tue/Wed) and 2 days remote (Thursday/Friday). Schedule is not flexible and is the same across all business units/office locations.

    • Researching, identifying, and qualifying prospective leads for the sales team
    • Orchestrate external meetings for prospecting and new business sales efforts by writing persuasive cold outreach emails
    • Manage active communications and build trust with prospective clients throughout the sales pipeline
    • Collaborate with and support senior sellers to generate new business meetings for their pipeline
    • Promote products and generate brand awareness in the market
    • Present, develop, and implement new creative sales strategies
    • Support marketing team with email copy, lead generation, outreach, etc.
    • ​Responsible for introductory meetings for personal book of business to grow into a seller role
    • Bachelor's Degree Required (preferred but not required: Marketing, Business, Sales, Technology Related)
    • 1-2 years of digital advertising/sales/marketing experience preferred
    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Cross-functional collaboration skills
    • Technical understanding/experience with at least one of the following: AI, programmatic, adtech
    • Self-starter, highly detail-oriented, quick learner, able to think on your feet
    • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

    • Experience in a startup environment and/or a client-facing role
    • Experience and/or interest in strategic sales planning
    • Familiarity with sales tools: Hubspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, SellerCrowd
    • Preferred skills: public speaking, time management, ability to learn new technologies & industries quickly
    • $55,000 - $65,000 base + equity
