THE OPPORTUNITY
In this position, you will OWN the administration of Salesforce; solving business problems by customizing Salesforce to make the platform work for Cape’s goals. You will LEARN Cape’s specific use cases and apply your systems skill sets to ENHANCE the current state of Salesforce at Cape. You will build, configure, and automate technology solutions to deliver Cape value, and work with stakeholders to define system requirements, enhancements, and to customize the platform. Most importantly, you will enable users to get the most out of Salesforce technology.

Core responsibilities include supporting and training users, managing data, maintaining security standards, and delivering actionable analytics. The Cape team can rely on them to:

THE TEAM
As a member of CAPE’s Sales and Client Success team, you will work alongside a growing team of account executives, solution engineers, and business intelligence experts with years of experience selling and delivering products, support, and expertise to clients across the insurance and real estate industries. The team works across the organization, teaming with the enterprise sales team in the market along with internal product development and data science teams.

    • Onboard with Cape’s sales and marketing team to learn about our sales process, selling motion, and needs to increase system effectiveness.
    • Complete Cape internal product training & CORE training to gain a high level understanding of Cape, machine learning, and our client base.
    • Begin work on Salesforce refactor; prioritize what changes need to happen when with the goal of limiting system disruption through process.
    • 1:1 meetings with select Cape team members to better understand desired results, reporting needs, dashboards, and workflows to create.
    • Complete and present an assessment of the current state of Salesforce; highlight suggested changes not covered in Salesforce refactor proposal.
    • Execute updates to Salesforce according to Cape’s  refactor strategy resulting in technical debt reduction.
    • Enhance reporting capabilities and help to deliver meaningful insights and metrics to measure.
    • Streamline and automate Salesforce workflows where possible, increasing efficiency and processes.
    • Simplify where data is collected in Salesforce, eliminating redundancies and duplicative entries.
    • Partner with BI team and Finance to increase reporting capabilities and synchronize taxonomy to make Salesforce expected data more usable.
    • Produce training material and best practices for Salesforce usage.  Participate in creating content for use in onboarding and continuing education.
    • Enhance reporting and dashboards based on trends and insights; make suggestions on how data is presented.
    • Work cross functionally with various departments to be an additive resource where possible. (Examples:  BI, Sales Enablement, Marketing).
    • Streamline data collection efforts across Marketing, Real Estate, and Insurance. Lead efforts for data enrichment before importing into Salesforce.
    • Increase proficiency with Salesforce adjacent systems including but not limited to LucidChart, Slack, Tableau, AM Best, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CMS, LMS.
    • 5+ years of experience with Salesforce as an administrator with proficiency in creating automations, workflows, reports, dashboards, and integrations with our systems
    • Bachelor’s degree required; technical or business-related preferred
    • Salesforce Administration Certification (SCA) - Required; Salesforce Business Analyst certification a big plus
    • Ability to understand high-level sales processes and stages and how they relate to forecasting, reporting, and ultimately delivering insights at various levels
    • Strong work management skills and task coordination for completing large projects
    • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills  with a strong understanding of  Salesforce, Slack, and other sales and enablement applications
    • Slack, Tableau, and Email marketing platforms is a big plus
