This position reports to the Security Manager and is located in Malibu, CA. This position manages both industrial security and emergency operations under the security department umbrella.

Essential Duties:
This position reports to the Security Manager and is located in Malibu, CA. HRL seeks an experienced security expert who will provide leadership to a team of professionals in the protection of information, personnel, and facilities. Duties will include (but are not limited to) identification of security requirements; development and implementation of protective measures designed to safeguard classified and proprietary information, personnel, and facilities; train and mentor team members; primary back up to the  security manager; expertise of company and government regulations and directives; provide expert guidance to security team and HRL leadership.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Minimum of ten years working as a Facility Security Officer (FSO/AFSO) or equivalent role.
Experience with entire lifecycle of classified contracts, insider threat program, counter intelligence, personnel clearances, secure area builds, creation of standard operation procedures, and visitor management.
Experience as liaison with law enforcement, emergency services, USG, DoD, and IC.
Experience using NISS, DISS, and SIMS databases.
Completion of DCSA CDSE FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities, ISP, or SFPC.
Strong working knowledge of the 32CFR, ICDs, and DoD Directives required.
Comprehensive knowledge of the entire life cycle of a classified contract.
Ability to read and understand blue prints and other standard facility documentation .
Knowledge of fire protection systems and equipment.
CPR/First Aid certification desired.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit at a workstation for long periods. Use of ladders and moderate lifting required.
Ability to manage and execute multiple tasks under a deadline.
Ability to remaining calm and effective during high stress situations.

Required Education:
High School diploma with 12+ years related experience. Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years related experience. Master’s degree with 8+ years related experience.

Special Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen. Must have a current Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. Current active Top Secret/SCI clearance is desired.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $70,200 - $117,000 + bonus + benefits.
