Who You Are:

You are an experienced Finance professional who is looking to make an impact and take your career to the next level. Or maybe you’re already a key member of a finance team at a tech company, but you are looking for a new challenge that will more quickly accelerate your career growth. You’ve got a versatile skill set, and one of your main areas of expertise is financial modeling. You are passionate about driving strategic initiatives and decisions through analysis and cross-functional collaboration. You are known to be a close thought partner to your stakeholders, who often lean on you for your input and insight. You’re thrilled at the prospect of being Spot AI’s first Sr. Finance Manager, helping to build the playbook and take ownership of key finance processes that will lead you, and us, to success as we enter this new vertical with an established and relevant AI video product.

What Excites You:

Data & Analysis

  • Leveraging an operating model to help the Leadership team identify strengths and weaknesses in the business in real time
  • Leading capital allocation decisions by acquiring a deep understanding of Spot AI’s business
  • Working closely with the Revenue Operations team to ensure accuracy in our data (ARR, funnel data, etc.) and to drive analysis that will impact our GTM efforts (e.g. funnel conversions, sales efficiency, net dollar retention, etc.)
  • Leading ad hoc analysis to help evaluate new initiatives such as new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, pricing and packaging, etc.

Reporting & Processes

  • Owning all aspects of the company’s operating model, including GTM funnel, financial statement forecast, cash runway, unit economics, headcount planning, etc.
  • Leading management and investor reporting (KPIs, dashboards, monthly business reviews, etc.), including creation of new reports as needed
  • Implementing and owning all finance-related processes including planning, headcount, budgeting, BVA, deal desk, month end close, etc.

Fundraising & Investor Relations

  • Playing a key role in quarterly Board meeting preparation and managing investor requests
  • Playing key role in equity and debt fundraising processes – leading investor diligence processes and analysis to determine the optimal capital structure for our business

Business Partnering

  • Evangelizing the importance of Finance internally – taking a data driven approach with analytical rigor. Being the go-to person for all things related to financial analysis and processes
  • Supporting the leadership team and other business partners with value-added business insight and decision support
  • Maintaining the tricky balance between financial control and cross functional support. Knowing how to listen to your business partners and help set them up for success, but also understanding where to draw the line and push back
  • Influencing your business partners and ensuring effective collaboration during cross functional processes like planning

What Gets Our Attention:

  • Bachelor’s degree; Finance and/or Accounting experience required
  • 7+ years finance experience with a mix of startup and investment banking strongly preferred
  • Superior analytical and modeling skills
  • Strong accounting knowledge required. Experience with capital intensive businesses and hardware-as-a-service businesses a plus
  • Superior problem solving and critical thinking skills. Structured thinker who can present a logical framework when solving a problem
  • Executive presence, i.e. demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and/or investors
  • Demonstrated maturity and leadership qualities to build and lead a team. Prior management experience a plus, but not required
  • Detail oriented with the ability to consistently produce work product of high quality and accuracy
  • Intrinsic drive and motivation to consistently tackle and conquer new challenges

What’s In It For You:

  • Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $190,000. Offered salary will be based on the offered candidate’s demonstrated attributes and competencies related to the role, as well as the offered candidate’s geographical location within the United States.  Your recruiting partner can share more details about the compensation range as it relates to your geography once your interview process has begun
