General Description:
This position, as part of the FP&A team, is a finance professional who can work effectively with the rest of the FP&A team, Finance organization, Technical staff, and external stakeholders. They will contribute to the buildup of the monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, track and perform actionable variance analysis on budgets, and perform Ad-Hoc reporting for both Finance and other internal needs. The successful candidate is someone who is highly detail oriented, organized, and possesses an excellent work ethic. This position requires a candidate that is able to foresee potential issues, analyze them, and provide solutions to management.

Essential Duties:
Perform assigned duties as part of FP&A team’s month-end close, reporting, budgeting and, forecasting responsibilities.
Lead meetings with budget owners on actual vs budget variance analysis.
Help to train and guide junior analysts.
Contribute to monthly reporting and buildup of P&L statement.
Participate in Fiscal Year planning by working with internal budget owners to create Fiscal Year indirect expense budgets (Fringe, Overhead, and G&A).
Work with Finance Leadership to create top level company targets eg. Awards, Revenue, and Earnings.
Track budgets, perform variance analysis, and provide value add reports to management.
Assist in building, enhancing, and maintaining automated reporting to improve speed and quality of analysis.
Perform analysis on appropriations of yearly Capital Projects.
Provide data and analysis in support of various internal and external audits.
Perform daily routine tasks and all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
4+ years of experience in an FP&A role.
Advanced Excel skills.
Aerospace, DoD, or R&D experience.
Analytical, quantitative, and problem solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Proactive, creative, problem solving, and decision making skills.
IBM Planning Analytics (TM1).
Deltek Costpoint.
Experience in organizing, preparing, and presenting briefings to peers and senior management.

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
Master’s Degree desired.

Special Requirements:
US Citizen.
Active DoD Security Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $70,200 - $117,000 + bonus + benefits.
