About the Role
We are looking for our first Senior HR Business Partner to support our technical teams and leaders. You will be a true strategic partner and make immediate impact through your expertise in leadership coaching, change management, organizational design, and talent management strategy.

As a steward of Akasa culture, you will coach leaders on various people matters, navigate and resolve employee relations issues, help bring our people programs to life, and more. You put people first and always use data to drive decisions. Given that you will be the first person in this role, you are passionate about laying a strong foundation for the HRBPs to come. This role reports to our Chief People Officer.

    • Provide strategic business and thought partnership to your leadership teams and coach them through people-related strategy, decision making, and execution
    • Provide subject matter expertise in: performance management, coaching, employee relations, change management, learning and development, data analysis, compensation and rewards, and career development and pathing
    • Provide Employee Relations support and management
    • Proactively assess team, manager, and organizational development needs, make data-driven recommendations, and implement solutions
    • Roll up your sleeves to execute a full range of HR duties from strategy to program design and implementation
    • Support current HR Ops policies and processes and optimize current systems for HR Programs
    • Collaborate closely with People Team colleagues in Recruiting and HR to implement solutions across various disciplines such as talent strategy, performance management, and employee engagement
    • Ensure successful rollout of key HR programs such as talent review, performance management, workforce planning, total rewards, and engagement
    • Lead and contribute to projects as an integral member of the People Team
    • Advocate for employees and partner with your orgs to create and drive employee engagement action plans
    • 6+ years HR Business Partner experience and 7 years of overall HR or related work experience, start-up experience preferred
    • Experience partnering with and influencing senior leaders to help guide their people strategy and drive business results
    • Demonstrable HR expertise and understanding of all areas of HR from employee relations to labor laws, total rewards, career pathing, organizational design, and talent management
    • Exceptional listening skills and ability to relate to, influence, and coach employees of all levels in the organization
    • Strong prioritization and project management skills
    • Proven ability to design clear processes while remaining agile, showing flexibility in problem solving
    • A clear and effective communication style, and the ability to tailor your message to different audiences
    • Exceptional listening skills and ability to coach, influence, and relate to employees of all levels in the organization
    • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills; you build trust easily
    • Strong ability to see all sides of an issue, remain objective, and move to resolution
    • A growth mindset and flexibility
    • Successful track record of designing and implementing people programs
    • Understanding of various employment laws and their impact on day-to-day matters
    • Ability to work through ambiguity, think creatively, and roll up your sleeves
    • Bachelor’s Degree and/or relevant experience

    • The anticipated salary range for this role is $120,000 - $200,000 + Equity. Variable may vary based on location, experience, and qualifications.
