About the role
We are looking to grow our Platform Operations team with an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of our network, distributed systems, and Kubernetes infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have experience in designing secure, resilient, large-scale production environments with Google Cloud (GCP) and must be highly knowledgeable with all aspects of cloud hosting, connectivity, and security.
Our target market is composed of content creators and marketing leaders at growing companies. We help companies leverage artificial intelligence to accelerate content production and unlock their best ideas. We see AI as a partner to content marketers that can help them break through writer’s block, create fine-tuned imagery, and repackage content for different formats, languages and tones.
The role is open to candidates located in the US and can be remote within the United States. We have offices in Austin, TX and Salt Lake City, UT with employees based across the US. We've built a strong foundation to support remote employees engagement with other teams. We have a mix of experience levels and backgrounds, and we’re building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing, mentoring and career growth.
What you’ll do at Jasper:
- Design and develop complex distributed systems using Kubernetes and Terraform
- Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (experience with Github Actions and/or ArgoCD)
- Working closely with security to aid with threat detection, forensics, and remediation
- Building reusable patterns to increase infrastructure velocity while reducing complexity.
- Coordinating with other engineering teams to ensure proper system operation
- Troubleshooting kubernetes, networking, and cloud resource issues.
- Ensure systems are highly observable to track performance metrics
- Managing deployments of application and OS-level updates
- Documenting infrastructure components, architectural decisions, and keeping up with industry trends
- Mentoring junior staff members on best practices for system architecture design
What you’ll bring to Jasper:
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated problem solver, have excellent communication skills, and will have a deep understanding of the principles of distributed systems, and what makes them successful. They will also:
- 5+ years of experience working in an infrastructure engineering role
- Have experience working with cloud providers such as GCP or AWS
- Be familiar with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tooling, including Terraform
- Have a track record of successfully managing multiple projects across different team

Compensation Range
At Jasper, we believe in pay transparency and are committed to providing our employees and candidates with access to information about our compensation practices. The expected base salary range at offer for this role is $173,000- $200,000. Compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, competencies and certifications.
