The selected Quality Control Inspector will be joining Martin UAV, a cutting-edge manufacturer of some of the world’s most innovative UAV solutions. Martin’s VBAT UAV has taken the unmanned market by storm, attracting customers from all over the world. The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for monitoring and ensuring conformance with production processes and inspecting incoming product to ensure that Quality Standards are met. The Quality Inspector is a critical role in the manufacture of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles.

Salary Range:  Base + Bonus + Benefits + Equity (if applicable)
Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location. Information on the benefits offered is here. All offers are contingent on a cleared background check.

Location guidelines-
Onsite = 5 days/week
Hybrid = Several days in the office
Remote = Remote but able to come to the office as requested for business needs

    • Review assembly documentation for correctness and completeness
    • Witness assembly, lay-up, and torque operations
    • Complete dimensional inspections on parts and assemblies
    • Inspect raw materials, piece-parts, and final assemblies
    • Generate First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102
    • Read and interpret specifications, drawings, tolerances, and other requirements
    • Record inspection and test results on logs, graphs, reports, and into local systems
    • Maintain test and measurement equipment and calibration systems
    • Evaluate customer returns, and perform internal corrective actions as necessary
    • Perform other related duties as assigned
    • Ability to read, understand, and interpret documents such as SDS, blueprints, line drawings, pdf drawings, wiring diagrams, instruction manuals, and procedures.
    • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, flow-chart, or diagram form.
    • Must have excellent communication skills, oral and written, and be able to articulate ideas in an understandable manner.
    • Capable of communicating quality and engineering criteria/requirements to all levels of factory personnel.
    • Must be able to read and perform inspections using assembly instructions and engineering drawings.
    • Ability to perform configuration verification of all levels of assemblies/hardware.
    • Demonstrated ability to use hand tools and calibrated equipment like calipers, micrometers, scales, ring gages, pin gages and other standard measuring instruments.
    • Ability to read, write, and speak in English
    • Demonstrated ability to interpret assembly drawings and specifications.
    • Solid technical and computer skills.
    • Detail oriented with understanding of quality-centric practices and processes.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Strong adaptability, resilience, and grit.
    • Four to six years of related experience and training
    • GD & T experience is required
    • AS9100 experience desired, but not required
    • Experience utilizing various inspection methods and tools
    • Root cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action experience
    • Must be a U.S. citizen
