Senior Sales Engineer - Public Sector

Your Mission The Sales Engineer is a strategic technical advisor to both customers and UiPath sales executives. This role is specific to supporting the business with the public sector which includes agencies and organizations associated with the Federal government, State/Local government, and Education. As a result, SEs within our public sector segment work help drive mission impact through customer acquisition and adoption of the UiPath business automation platform. SEs collaborate with customers to uncover pain points and craft solutions with the UiPath platform to drive maximum customer outcomes and value. This position works with other UiPath team members (automation advisors, customer success managers, product management, support, and technical account managers) to secure the technical win and drive the adoption of the UiPath business automation platform across our customer base. In the Sales Engineer role, you will act as a strategic advisor to customers, prospects, and the UiPath salesforce. You will uncover the value that Automation can bring to existing business processes and help design new processes using UiPath platform capabilities. You will secure the technical win and identify high-value uses of our technology within our customer base by collaborating with and orchestrating necessary resources throughout the customer lifecycle. What you'll do at UiPath Be the technical evangelist delivering an engaging and impactful first impression of the UiPath business automation platform with a wide audience. You evangelize the Value that Automation brings to government agencies and organizations by harnessing the combination of an automation-enabled digital workforce with the exponential power of AI/ML capabilities. Be a thought leader on the best ways to advance the UiPath platform, and develop marketplace offerings and industry-specific solution accelerators. You are a communicator and influencer able to speak with a varied audience ranging from C-suite executives and department leaders to line of business directors and managers to citizen business developers and IT administrators, solution architects, and automation engineers. Understand industry challenges, headwinds, and the opportunities it creates for government agencies and organizations. Partner with the sales team to define account strategy, ideate on growing our solution footprint with our customers, and identify desired business outcomes. Build and deliver industry-specific demos and proof of value for prospects and customers. Conduct process discovery sessions to understand how work gets done currently, build a backlog of potential automation opportunities and quantify the value that can be unlocked. Work closely with Product & Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to channel customer feedback and continually refine UiPath offerings. Share lessons learned and best practices with other members of the UiPath GTM team. Provide a feedback loop for our product teams to include continual innovation and improved customer satisfaction. What you'll bring to the team A background in consulting, sales engineering, or running automation programs. Ability to empathize with co-workers and customers. Are coachable and willing to learn to adapt to a changing environment. Bias towards outcomes vs. activities. Curiosity to learn and master your craft. Demonstrated experience in simplifying and communicating complex concepts to a technical and business audience. Experience working with public sector agencies (Federal, State/Local, and Education) – solving their problems with technology. Knowledge and understanding of Lean Principles and Continuous Process Improvement methodologies is a plus.
