About the Orchestration Team

The vast majority of machine learning projects fail because of insufficient or poorly labeled data. Our team's mission is to build the products and infrastructure needed to intelligently distribute data for labeling at scale. Our systems enable  thousands of labelers to label millions of data each month.

About the Role

As our Senior Software Engineer, you will design and implement features end to end that will enable our customers to label data at scale, work with engineering and product to define the labeling workflow for our customers, as well as build analytics dashboards so that our customers can draw inferences and optimize their labeling strategy.
Labelbox strives to ensure pay parity across the organization and discuss compensation transparently. The expected annual base salary range for this United States based position is $170,000 - $215,000. This range is not inclusive of any potential equity packages or additional benefits. Exact compensation varies based on a variety of factors, including skills and competencies, experience, and geographical location.

    • You have 5+ years of relevant industry experience with modern full-stack experience (Typescript, NodeJS, React, GraphQL, etc)
    • Experience with MySQL and/ or Postgres
    • Experience with Kafka or other asynchronous messaging systems
    • Experience with Google Cloud, AWS, or other public cloud platforms
    • Experience with Kubernetes
    • You have a demonstrated history of writing clean and maintainable code and writing unit and integration tests
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing complex technical concepts and plans to various stakeholders
    • You carefully consider API and UI design and consider performance, correctness and the user who will consume the interfaces you deliver.
    • You take the lead on the critical escalations, drive them to resolution, and see them as opportunities to improve. You always choose automation over toil.
    • Experience with ELK stack is a bonus.
